To resize the Plants vs Zombies window, you can try adjusting the resolution settings within the game. Actually, just hit Alt + Enter when the game is running. This toggles between full screen and windowed mode. Then, you can resize the window just like any other on your desktop. Worked for me!

Tried both methods, didn't work. I think it depends on your game version. Ended up playing in full screen :/
