How to save edit Fallout Shelter Steam files?
Editing your Fallout Shelter save files on Steam is pretty straightforward but tread carefully; you're venturing into 'here be dragons' territory. Always make a backup of your save files first. They're usually located in your 'My Documents\My Games\Fallout Shelter' folder. You can use a save editor tool that you can easily find online – just make sure it's compatible with the version of your game. Open the editor, load your save file, and start tweaking. Remember, with great power comes great responsibility (and the occasional game-breaking bug).

I edited my save file to give myself a bajillion caps, and it was awesome for like two days. Then I got bored because there was no challenge left. Be careful what you wish for.
Just don't. Modifying game files can mess up your game or even get your account flagged. Enjoy the game as it's meant to be played!
