Been playing GTA 5 for years, and the bed trick is a lifesaver. Whenever I'm deep in a mission and need to call it a day, I just head to the nearest safe house, hit the hay, and boom, game saved and I can rest easy. The menu option works too, but there's something satisfying about tucking your character into bed.
