Try using an HDMI adapter for your iPhone if you want a simple setup. Connect your iPhone to the adapter, plug the HDMI cable into the Xbox 360, and switch to the correct input on your TV. Voila!

Just get a newer Xbox. The 360 doesn't support this natively, and the workaround apps can be hit or miss.
