As someone who's been playing Adopt Me for years: trading is the way to go. Find trusted players and negotiate good trades to get the most value out of your items!
You can't really 'sell' items, just trade them. Trading is your best bet if you're trying to make bucks or get new items.
Set up a lemonade or hot dog stand! Buy the stands from the shop, place them somewhere with a lot of foot traffic, and watch the bucks roll in!
