Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can't sell the slingshot in Stardew Valley. It's one of those items that just hangs out in your inventory or in a chest on your farm. If it's really bugging you, I suggest using it to bonk some monsters in the mines or just tucking it away out of sight.

Actually, you CAN'T sell the slingshot in Stardew Valley. I know, a total bummer. Just throw it in a chest and forget about it, or have fun shooting stuff for giggles. There's no official way to get rid of it for some extra Gold, sadly.
