From personal experience, gifting in PUBG Mobile involves using the in-game shop to send items or UC to friends. Direct skin transfers, unfortunately, aren't a thing.

You can't directly send skins to friends in PUBG Mobile. Instead, you can send UC (Unknown Cash) or gifts from the in-game shop!
