Just a heads up, you'll need a USB drive to transfer your ROMs to the Xbox. Plug the USB drive into your Xbox while in Dev Mode and use the file explorer in RetroArch to load the ROMs.

Honestly, if you follow the step-by-step guides on YouTube, you can't go wrong. There's a ton of them out there, and they make it super easy.

First, you need to download the Xbox Dev Mode activation app from the Microsoft Store. After that, follow the steps to switch your console to Developer Mode. Once in Dev Mode, download RetroArch from the RetroArch website and install it on your Xbox Series X. You can run RetroArch from there and start adding your ROMs!

Skip the hassle of Dev Mode by just using RetroArch in Retail Mode with the loophole method. It's faster but a bit more risky.

As someone who's done it, I recommend going the Developer Mode route. It's more stable, and you'll avoid potential bans from Xbox Live. Happy gaming!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
