I've sent hundreds of cards via PWE. Always use a penny sleeve and top loader. It costs a bit more but saves the card from bending or other damage. Plus, buyers really appreciate the extra care.

Shipping a Pokemon card in a Plain White Envelope (PWE) is easy but make sure to protect it! First, put the card in a penny sleeve for scratch protection. Then, insert it into a top loader to keep it stiff and safe. Wrap the top loader in a piece of paper to prevent it from sliding out and to add an extra layer of protection. Finally, seal it in the envelope. Some folks add a piece of cardboard for extra rigidity. Don’t forget to clearly write the address and consider using non-machinable postage to avoid bending!
