For a quick shot, tap the fire button; for more control, use burst fire or single shots depending on your weapon.

Easy peasy! Just aim down sights with your right mouse button (or L2/LT on controllers) and fire with left mouse button (or R2/RT).

On PC, you shoot with the left mouse button, but make sure to practice your aim in Creative mode!
