Easy peasy! In the lobby, press the Options button, select your profile icon, and then choose 'Sit Out'.

Hey, to sit out in Fortnite on PS4, go to the lobby, then click 'Squad Formation' at the bottom right. Toggle 'Participation' to 'Sitting Out'. Boom, you're chilling!
