To spawn a Wyvern in Terraria, you gotta head to the skies! Specifically, you need to be in the Hardmode world and find yourself in Floating Island heights. Wyverns spawn at altitudes above 360 feet on small maps, 640 feet on medium maps, and 850 feet on large maps.
