How to Spread Mushroom Biome in Terraria
Mushroom biomes are the best for setting up Truffle NPC housing but spreading them is a bit of work. Just mine out a big area and fill it with mud. Then, plant mushroom grass seeds and wait. It's kinda like watching paint dry but way more rewarding when you get your own glowing mushroom forest.

Spreading a mushroom biome in Terraria is all about those glowing mushroom seeds! First thing, you gotta get yourself some mushroom grass seeds from an existing mushroom biome. Once you have these, you can plant them on mud blocks. Remember, it's gotta be mud, cause that's the only place they'll grow. Make sure you're doing this in an area you're cool with turning into a mushroom wonderland because these biomes spread pretty quickly. Oh, and lighting? Not necessary, but it sure makes your new fungal paradise look pretty cool in the dark.
Honestly, why bother? Just find a mushroom biome and build there. Way less hassle.
Just place mud and plant the seeds. Easy.
