I've found that sometimes, if you're not quick enough with the double tap on the down D-pad, it might not register that you're trying to stop the recording. Probably because you didn't do it right. Make sure it's a quick, confident press!

Honestly, just hit the down D-pad twice quickly. It stops the recording. No need to make it complicated.
