Had to learn this the hard way after accidentally starting a million recordings. Double-tap the Down Arrow or D-pad Down, depending on what you're playing on. Saves you from a lot of accidental movie-making!
Stopping a recording in GTA 5 is easy! Just double press the Down Arrow key on your keyboard if you're playing on PC. If you're on console, double tapping the Down Button on the D-pad will do the trick. It's like telling the game, 'Okay, that's a wrap!'
