Forget the Silo, just stockpile it in your inventory... Kidding! Definitely get a Silo. Your animals will thank you in the winter.

Storing hay in Stardew Valley is pretty straightforward! Once you've built a Silo on your farm, all the hay you cut with your scythe gets automatically stored in it. You can then access this hay through the feeding troughs in your coop and barn to feed your animals. No more hungry chickens and cows!
