Honestly, just throw 'em in your base, lol. Just kidding, but seriously, after capturing, go to your inventory, pick the Pal you want, and there should be an option to send to base. Simple and sweet.

Been playing since Early Access dropped, and the way I summon my Pals is just by going into my inventory, choosing the Pal, and there's an option right there to send them to the base. It's pretty straightforward once you've done it the first time.
