You can switch the rendering API in Fortnite by launching the Epic Games Launcher, going to Settings, scrolling down to Fortnite, expanding the Additional Command Line Arguments section, and adding either -d3d11, -d3d12, or -vulkan, depending on the API you want.

I switched mine to Vulkan by adding -vulkan under the command line arguments in Settings. My frame rates got way better!

Honestly, the default rendering API works fine for most people. Only switch if you're having issues.

If you're looking to change the rendering API, you need to open the Epic Games Launcher, go to Settings, find Fortnite, and under Additional Command Line Arguments, type -d3d11 for DirectX 11, -d3d12 for DirectX 12, or -vulkan for Vulkan.

If you're a Fortnite player looking for extra v-bucks, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Fortnite gift card, which you can win and use to get v-bucks essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
