Taking off the rebreather in GTA 5 is super easy! Just go to your inventory by holding down the select button, scroll till you find the 'Gear' section, then navigate to the 'Rebreather' and select it again to remove it. Voila! You can now breathe free without the extra gear on your face.

Quick tip: if you're in a hurry, just switch to another accessory in the 'Gear' section of your inventory. Swapping the rebreather for something else like glasses or masks will remove it automatically.
