The best way to remove paint from a Hot Wheels car is to soak it in nail polish remover. Make sure it's acetone-based, though! Drop your car in, let it sit for a while, and then gently scrub the paint off with a toothbrush. Always works like a charm for me, plus it's a fun little project.

Acetone? No way. Too harsh. Use rubbing alcohol instead. It's gentler and just as effective for most Hot Wheels cars.

Simply using a paint thinner can do the trick, but be careful with it. It's strong stuff, so apply it with a cotton swab and gently rub the paint off. Always do it in a well-ventilated area and wear gloves to protect your hands!

Go with the heavy artillery: a sandblaster. Super quick, super clean. All you need is to know someone with the gear.

Just leave the paint on. The original finish is what makes Hot Wheels iconic. Why strip away history?
