To spot fake Pokémon Burning Shadows cards, check the card texture first. Real cards have a smooth finish, while fakes often feel more glossy or flimsy. Also, look closely at the printing quality; genuine cards have clear and sharp images, whereas fakes might have blurred or smudged graphics. Another giveaway is the coloring; if it seems off or too bright, be suspicious. Lastly, real Pokémon cards have a distinctive blue layer inside if you look at the edges, which fakes usually lack.

Just weigh them! Real Pokémon cards have a consistent weight. Fakes often weigh less cuz they skimp on quality materials.

Nah, just play online. No fakes in Pokémon TCG Live.

Biggest tip: Get real familiar with how real ones look and feel. I got tricked once at a flea market and learned the hard way. Now, I always compare with one I know is real. Fakes usually can't match the color and text font perfectly.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
