Check which direction your shadow is pointing. If it points toward the south, you're in the northern hemisphere. If it points north, you're in the southern hemisphere. Shadow detectives, unite!

First-hand experience here! Whenever I see the sun in GeoGuessr, I use my compass. If the sun is in the north, I'm down under. If it's in the south, I'm up top!

Sun position isn't always reliable for determining hemisphere. Just focus on other clues like language and vegetation.

If the sun is in the northern half of the sky, you're in the southern hemisphere. If it's in the southern half, you're in the northern hemisphere. Easy peasy!

If you're a GeoGuessr player looking for extra credit or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in GeoGuessr essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
