Another way to tell is by tilting the card under a good light source. No texture cards won't have any of those shiny patterns that catch the light. They're just plain, no dazzle or shimmer.

First off, you'll wanna give that card a gentle touch. Texture, or lack thereof, is something you can feel. Most cards without texture will feel totally smooth, unlike those fancy full art or holographic cards that have that distinct ridgy feel. If it feels like sliding over butter on a hot pan, you鈥檝e got yourself a non-textured card!

It鈥檚 all in the fingers. If you can鈥檛 feel any bumps or ridges when you run your finger over the surface, then congrats, it鈥檚 a no-texture card. Worked for me every time I checked.

Honestly, just look at it. If it's missing the sparkle, then it鈥檚 probably got no texture. Plain and simple.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
