Real vs. fake? Weight can be a dead giveaway. Genuine Funko Pops have a certain heft to them compared to the lighter fakes. Also, the paint job on a real one is usually spot-on, with no smudging or inconsistencies.

First off, check the box! Real Funko Pops have clear, high-quality printing on the box with no spelling mistakes. The barcode and the Funko logo should be present and look legit. If the box looks off or the printing is fuzzy, you might have a fake on your hands.

Check the bottom of the box for the serial number. If it's missing or doesn鈥檛 match the product line, you鈥檝e got a dud. Did I mention the paint job? If it looks like it was done in the dark during an earthquake, it's probably fake.

Honestly, just buy from reputable sellers. Save yourself the headache of deciphering real from fake.

I bought a 'rare' Funko once that turned out to be a fake. The biggest tell was the paint quality鈥攊t looked like a 5-year-old with no fine motor skills had gone to town on it. Plus, the box didn't have that satisfying crisp feel when I opened it. Learned my lesson the hard way!

If you're a Funko Pop player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
