Easy peasy! Shiny Pokemon cards have a distinct glitter or holographic pattern that isn't on the regular cards. If the card sparkles under the light, congrats, it's shiny! Also, check the card's illustration; shiny Pokemon have a different color scheme compared to their regular counterparts. A shiny Charizard, for example, is black instead of its usual orange.

If it's all shiny and sparkly, then you've got yourself a shiny! Also, the card texture feels different, kinda like it's got that extra oomph.

Honestly, just look at it. If it looks like it's throwing a disco party under the light, it's shiny. If not, it's just a regular card. Basic.

Pro tip: Shiny cards are not just about the bling. They often have a symbol or a marking on them indicating they are part of a special set or a rare collection. Always check the card number and symbol on the bottom right!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
