How to Transport Water in Terraria
Super simple! You can transport water by using Buckets. Just craft or find a bucket, fill it by standing near water and clicking on the water with the bucket equipped. Then, go where you wanna put the water, and click again to pour it out. Voila! Water transportation 101. Also, for bigger projects, consider using pumps (Inlet and Outlet Pumps connected with wires) for an automated flow. It's like being a plumber but with less real-world mess.

Buckets, my friend. But honestly, if you're moving a lot of water, learn to use pumps. Changed my Terraria life.
Just use an endless water bucket if you can get your hands on one. Infinite water, zero sweat.
