Navigate to Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy. Click View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer, then set 'You can join cross-network play' to 'Block.'

Go to your Xbox Series X settings, then account settings, and look for the option to block cross-network play. Quick and easy!

From my experience, you have to head into the Privacy & online safety settings, then choose Communication & multiplayer and block the crossplay option there.
