To turn off Quick Start, just go to Settings > General > Power mode & startup and change the mode to 'Energy-saving'. Easy peasy!

I switched mine off by going into Settings, then Power mode & startup, and choosing 'Energy-saving'. Makes a huge difference in power usage!
