Nope, can't turn off shadows directly, chief. Apex doesn't let you do that to keep the playing field level. It's all about fair play and keeping the visual experience consistent for everyone.

Turning off shadows in Apex Legends isn't an option through the in-game settings. However, if you're really looking to boost your FPS or make the game run smoother on a low-end PC, you can tweak some other settings. Lowering the 'Effect Detail' and 'Model Detail' could help reduce the load without completely turning off shadows. Remember, playing around with the game files directly to remove shadows might be tempting but could lead to a ban, so proceed with caution and at your own risk.

Actually, tweaking your graphics card settings could be a workaround. I adjusted my NVIDIA control panel settings for Apex and it kinda reduced the shadow impact. Not exactly 'off', but definitely less intrusive. Proceed with caution though!

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
