Settings > Audio > Voice Chat: ON. Boom, done!

Head to the game settings, select the 'Audio' tab, and toggle 'Voice Chat' to on. Make sure your mic's connected too!

Had the same issue. Go into settings, find the audio tab, and flip the voice chat switch to 'on.' Now you can strategize (or trash talk) to your heart's content!
