Honestly, just set it to '+fps_max 0' instead of unlimited. It does the same thing but feels smoother to some players. Worth trying both to see what works best for you.

I tried the '+fps_max unlimited' thing and didn't notice much difference. Running a high refresh rate monitor, so maybe it depends on your setup?

Uncapping your FPS in Apex Legends can totally change your gameplay experience! First thing, open Steam and head to your library. Right-click on Apex Legends, select 'Properties,' then click on 'Set Launch Options.' Here, type in '+fps_max unlimited' to remove the FPS cap. Hit 'OK,' and you're all set. Enjoy the smooth gameplay!

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
