Honestly, just buy the in-game upgrades if you’re in a hurry. It's not the cheapest option, but it works.
Try completing the various missions and tasks throughout the game. They usually reward you with new food items to add to your menu.
From my experience, the best way is to focus on leveling up your Chef’s skills. As they get better, you'll get more and better recipes!
