Just keep playing any game mode in Super Smash Bros Ultimate and challengers will keep appearing. Beat them in a 1v1 match to unlock them. Patience is key!

Classic Mode is a blast and it's a straight path to unlocking characters. Play it with different fighters to unlock their friends!

In Super Smash Bros Ultimate, you can unlock characters by playing through the World of Light adventure mode, battling in Classic Mode, or racking up wins in VS Mode. Each method will have characters show up as challengers ready to fight. Beat them and they join your roster!

Hot take: Just invite your friends over for a Smash party and let them do the unlocking for you while you chill with snacks. Problem solved!

I once spent an entire weekend unlocking every character in Super Smash Bros Ultimate just by cranking through VS matches. It's like a workout for your thumbs!

...you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

This includes gift cards from all your favorite brands, like Amazon, Starbucks, Apple, Roblox, and many, many more!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
