To unlock portals in Valheim, you need to defeat the first boss, Eikthyr, to get Hard Antlers, use them to craft a pickaxe, and then mine Copper and Tin for Bronze. Once you have Bronze, you can build a Forge and craft a Bronze Axe. This lets you chop down Fine Wood from Birch trees, which you need along with Greydwarf Eyes and Surtling Cores to craft a portal. Happy teleporting!

When I unlocked my first portal I was like, 'This changes everything!' Seriously, follow the recipe above, and you'll be hopping across the map in no time.

Just beat Eikthyr, mine some Copper and Tin, make Bronze, get a Bronze Axe, chop Birch, find Surtling Cores, and boom! Portal time!

In Valheim, you need Fine Wood, Greydwarf Eyes, and Surtling Cores to craft a portal. Chop birch trees for Fine Wood after making a Bronze Axe from Copper and Tin.
