To unlock the desert in Stardew Valley, you gotta repair the Bus Stop. You do this by completing the Vault bundle in the Community Center, which will cost you a total of 42,500 G. Once you've done that, the bus service to the desert becomes available. The desert's got a bunch of cool stuff, including a new mine and a shop that sells unique items!
