Sorry to disappoint, but Toad isn’t an unlockable character in Super Smash Bros Ultimate! You can, however, team up with him through Peach and Daisy's moves.

Toad is not a playable character in Smash Ultimate. He's busy being a faithful sidekick to Peach and Daisy in their movesets.
