Grab your controller, power on your Xbox, and go to Profile & System > Settings > Devices & Connections > Accessories. Click the three dots and choose 'Update.' Easy peasy!

Plug your controller into the Xbox with a USB cable, power it on, and it'll prompt you to update if needed!

You can use the Xbox Accessories app on your PC too. Just connect your controller via USB, open the app, and follow the update instructions.
