If the automatic update didn't happen, go to the PS4's main menu, find Mortal Kombat X, press the OPTIONS button on your controller, and select 'Check for Update'.

I've updated Mortal Kombat X a bunch of times. Just go to the game in your library, hit OPTIONS, and choose 'Check for Update'. If there's one available, it'll start downloading.
