lol just turn on auto-updates so you don't have to worry about it. Go to Settings > System > Automatic Downloads and tick the box for 'Application Update Files.' Boom, done. Rec Room updates itself while you're off living your life.

Actually, I never update manually. PS4 sorts it out if you set it up right. Auto-update for the win.
