You basically just open the cargo hold menu while on your ship, slap your extra loot in there, and make space for more adventures. I learned this after trying to carry everything myself鈥攂ad idea when exploring space!
Just click on the cargo hold option when on your ship's menu, and you can move items in and out! Easy peasy.
