You don't even need to install extra software. Just Bluetooth or USB and you're all set. Steam will handle the rest. Xbox for the win!

If it’s a wireless controller, turn it on and press the sync button until it starts flashing. Then go to your PC’s Bluetooth settings, pair it, and open Steam. Easy peasy!
