Upgraded weapons are key! Spend some time crafting better gear so you can fend them off more effectively.
Place effigies made from cannibal body parts around your camp to scare them off. They hate seeing their own parts used against them.
Just climb up a tree! Cannibals can't jump, so you'll be safe... for now.
Fire is your friend! Light up some torches and bonfires. Cannibals really don't like the light.
