You gotta have a scope attached to your weapon first. Then, just tap on the scope icon when aiming. For scopes like the 6x and up, use your screen to adjust magnification by swiping up or down.

Easy peasy! Just tap on the scope icon when you have a weapon equipped with a scope. You can also adjust the zoom level with higher magnification scopes like 6x or 8x by sliding your finger up or down on the screen.

From my experience, once you've attached a scope to your gun, you can zoom in by tapping the scope button located near your fire button. It's super intuitive once you get the hang of it.
