If you're using an older MacBook Air, you might struggle a bit with performance. But hey, adjusting the settings can make it playable.

Hot take: If you really want to enjoy Subnautica, get a gaming PC. MacBook Air isn鈥檛 ideal for this game.

Subnautica runs like a dream on my M1 MacBook Air. No major issues, smooth gameplay. Just don't push the graphics to max!

I鈥檝e played Subnautica on a MacBook Air 2020, and it works alright. Not the best but certainly playable. Expect some occasional frame drops.

Surprisingly, Subnautica runs pretty decently on a MacBook Air, especially if you have one of the M1 models. Just keep the graphics settings on medium or low, and you should be good!
