Keyboard and mouse, hands down. The precision you get from a mouse when aiming can't be matched by a controller's analog stick. Plus, quick movements and flicks are way easier. Aim assist? More like training wheels.
As a long-time Apex player, I've tried both. Used a controller for the first year, then switched to keyboard and mouse. Never looked back. My gameplay improved a lot, especially in aiming. But hey, I've seen controller players absolutely dominate too. It's about what feels right for you.
