Attack on Titan is considered a shounen series. It's serialized in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine and features themes and content typical for the shounen demographic, like intense action and coming-of-age elements.

Definitely shounen! It was serialized in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine, after all.

From my experience, Attack on Titan might feel like a seinen due to its mature themes, but it's officially a shounen.

Despite its darker themes and complex storyline, Attack on Titan falls under the shounen category. It's originally published in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine.

Technically a shounen, but it sure gets as dark as a seinen sometimes!
