Barrier fruit is better for team play since you can protect teammates. Ice fruit is better for soloing and dealing damage.
Ice fruit all the way! You can freeze enemies and even stun bosses. Barrier's cool, but ice is cooler.
Honestly, both have their perks, but I prefer Ice fruit because it looks cooler. Aesthetics matter too, right?
