Hot take: Burgess isn't dead, but he might as well be. Haven't seen him do anything worthwhile in ages. Oda's just keeping him around for when he's finally needed.

Nope, Burgess is not dead in One Piece. Last time we saw him, he was beaten but definitely alive. The dude's tough as nails, so it's gonna take more than that to take him out. Plus, with Oda, unless you see a body, don't assume they're dead.

In my honest opinion, Burgess is very much alive. I remember seeing him last in the Dressrosa arc where he tried to steal the Mera Mera no Mi and got a good beating from Sabo. But he wasn't killed. One Piece characters have survived way worse, so I'd bet my hat he's still kicking around somewhere, waiting to make a comeback.

If you're a One Piece fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
