As someone who's binged both, I'd say they share complex plots and a ton of strategic battles. But each has its own unique flavor.

Similar vibes for sure! Both series have a genius protagonist trying to reshape the world with their supernatural abilities. But Code Geass has mecha battles too, so bonus points for giant robots!
