Nope, Kratos is a guest character in Mortal Kombat, specifically appearing in Mortal Kombat 9 (2011) on PS3/PS Vita. He’s not part of the main canon storyline.

From my hundreds of hours in MK9, I can confirm Kratos doesn't tie into the main story at all. Just a fun easter egg for fans!

Kratos is a fantastic addition, but he's just a special guest much like how Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees were in other MK games.

Hard no. He only shows up to chop heads off in MK 9.

If you're a Mortal Kombat player looking for extra coins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Mortal Kombat essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
